Had a good weekend scooting around Canterbury, I fund a huge puddle which was a foot deep so i turned my scoot into a jet ski :-) was a little dirty after several splashes, I happened to be out at the same time as some big Harly Davidson rally. I was filling up at one gas station were one Harly guy was asking where the nearest place was to get a bike puncher fixed I replayed "you should of got a vespa as they have spare tires" he didn't look happy

Had a nice wee weekend, on Saturday Claire and I scooted to Taylors Mistake which is probably the nicest beach that Christchurch can offer then we had a ice cream and then went to the moves (Little Miss Sunshine) had a lazy day today but had training for work in the afternoon just about to chill and watch the box should be getting broadband this week some time ! Its actualy 4:40 am waiting in the hotel lobbie for the taxi to come at 5am then well be at the airport for a while but security is very slow so we have to get ther 3 hours befor the flight :-( then we leave at 8:10 am and get to NZ at 2:40pm nz time weee good thing about the flight is Free food Free Bozze and a free film Oh Joy! see you soon!!!!!!

Ok ill try this again, I had writen heaps this morning but the internet cafe computer craped out on me and my time was up has a stupid home made browser. briz is great hot and sticky walk most of the cbd inbetween confrence times the pick shown is a bogenviller walk which goes for 1km through were the 88 world expo was. havent spent any money so far only on thisstupid computer and on a big mac as aparently they tast shit here compared to nz. stayed up late last night watching tv mostley to see all of the diffrent adverts its like living in an episode of cath and kim as well. well better go i think this will be my only post over hear so guys this is your post card :-) Love J

Well things have been full on at work lately as I'm changing jobs with in the organisation that I'm work for, as before i was working with adults with disabilities looking for work i am now working with kids in their last years at school and transition them into the real world.
Mums coming down to CHCH for Christmas so preparing for that this weekend, Claire and i bought a small swimming pool from the supermarket which were try out on Sunday hopefully get some pics

hot day doing gardening dug up one flower bed and planted some lavender then moved some soil around the garden calling it a day as im a little red. last weekend was fun was a patient for a civil defence exercise suspended from a stretch down some stairs we were in a dis used hospital in Christchurch had some fun in the operating theatre.

Bought an Icebrecker balaclava for my journey to Christchurch as I'm Scooting down in the early hours of Saturday and might be a little frosty, actually got it on now! (I look a little silly but hay its nice and toasty!).
Got some free petrol whilst filling up Deirdre Yesterday the pump I was using wasn't recording the petrol that came out of the pump and when I went to pay the cashier said they couldn't charge me as it wasn't on their computer ! :-) and i was being honest with them too, so pretty got a full tank worth $10 for free!!!!!!

Scooted up to Palmy after work last night to see wet roast at massy uni, it was the last time ill probably see her before i move down to Chch 17 days to go! almost got every thing sorted just have to sell my futon and fish!

Had a fabulous weekend! it all started with a bang catching up with my dearest Wetroast on Friday night as she was in town. The next day I flew up to Jaffa land (Auckland) to Dads for his 50th Birthday, was good catching up with the family up there and only just got back this afternoon. Had a killer of a toothache all weekend and I suspect its probably my wisdom tooth :-(

Well I scored a Job in Christchurch so its all happening now! I making the big move on the 19 August so I have reset my little timer on the right. Ill probably rent a truck and go over on the ferry, I hope Deirdre will fit in something I have to sort out this week. Well Chch Was very fruitful, I had two interviews and was offered one job on the spot, still waiting for all the paper work and fine details till i except, I had a pretty bad dose of food poisoning so it was amazing that i pulled the interviews off as i was pretty green. heaps of thanks to Wetroast who kept me alive during the weekend :-) Just cant wait to get the ball rolling and get moving!

not much happened this weekend caught up with a few friends and went for one of my massive walks, got a couple of CD's (Future Sound Of London) from the Library as I only had them on tape and craved to listen to them on my new ipod. spent the evening doing most of my washing and yes hand washing, our washing machine has been kaput since I was away in Whangaire. Im so used to washing by hand its second nature and I think Im a bit of a pro now, the only problem is that the cloths take 48hrs to dry :-( any way hers a good link on how to wash by hand How To Wash By Hand .

For years i have been saying my name wrong, well it sounded right to me but today on the phone some one laughed and corrected me. This was the second time this week that some one laughed at me about it and both calls were from head office (must think im a right doofis), gosh its taken all these years to get it right! but hay i like my way better might get it change by de-pole ..... Jonofin Mackie sounds good. Also got very wet today spent all day trying to get my waterproofs dry only for them to get saturated on the way home again!

The maddest weather on the way home today, wind hail ect.... Poor Deirdre had trouble keeping up with the cars and at one point she was down to 65-kph on the motorway, got home and it was windy as an elephant on baked beans. Went in to my room and played on my decks as i was the only one at home and with the wind at full blast i was giving nature full blast with my stereo, oh poor ears :-(

Lately we have had a few 3 hour or so power cuts down are street and it made me relies that i don't have a emergency kit just incase the BIG quake hits Wellington, mind you if that quake hit the house, it would probably fall down into to the hill so any emergency kit would be useless, well any way today i popped into Jaycar a little electronic gadget shop and saw this cute little dynamo FM/AM radio with LED touch which i couldn't resist i also saw that they had hydrogen power cells for $120 which would be cool as they only work on water but ill leave that for another day. Had a wonderful time catching up with Wetroast and my dad just a bit quiet now as no one is around :o( ill spend tonight tucked up in bed as its bloody cold!

Just got back from a super time in Christchurch! all sad as i want to go start back! I saw a bit of snow on the port hills and heaps on the rangers, Wetroast and I spent some of or hard earned cash on some new Ice Breaker cloths which are super warm and made from NZ Marino wool. also watched Everything has gone Pete Tong, which is about a DJ in Ibiza who goes deaf, and how F%$ked his life style was. Well better go and sort some Kai out!

Well Saturday night was a bit of a blast the band had probably there last gig, i just did the sound and set up which reminds me Sasha still has all my gear which i have to pick up some how from the Hutt we all caught a bus back into town which was almost a sea of spue as most bodies on the bus were drunk. not much happening this week so far just work and spending time on the phone :-) tonight Im keeping cosey and warm in my little room listening to Nat Radio hearing how cold it is all around the country!..... Deidre goes flat and the U.S Embassy

Well I had an intresting wee epasode on Deidre today, I was riding her back home after work when I started to wobble a little, at first I thought it must of been the fumes from passing trucks making me feel giddy, till I notice it was geting worse, i slowed down relising that my tire was going flat. I went as far as I could as we were on the motoway and you cant realy stop to change a wheel safaly, so I pulled off at the nearest exit whch was only 100m away thank god! The exit happend to be by the U.S Embassy (which having this in my post will probably have the CIA checking my Blog to make sure that Im not a terrorist) I parked Deidre on the foot path which is owend by the NZ tax payer which wasnt on U.S land. A guard came out and told me that I couldnt change my tire there as it was a risk to the United States of America I laughed and walked my scooter down the road to a carpark. I thought I better do up dear old Deidre like the one in the pick and hoon up and down the road of the embassy to give them a fright next time. manage to change my wheel but now need a new tire as the spare one i put on has a little rip. a weekend job.

Well had a spot of acting for a mates short film today, i played a referee of a 1970's pro hop scotch match. then i went to pick up my new Ipod Nano, weeee music again!
1 doodle today but Im still practising and I find my woman have man like jaws, they look as if they were some past Olympic East German swimming team.
Over the years I have been heavily influenced by Illustrator Jason Brooks , and now he has a web-site!

Well today I was a demolition man. I was helping a work mate demolish walls, was good fun but I inhaled lots of dust and smoke even with a mask on, so now I have had black snot. Not much of a party weekend just spending time doodling developing new styles, watching movies and listening to music.
It looks like my only remanding grandparent, Grandpa Jim isn't doing to well, so all my love goes out to him in Scotland.

I popped to one of Lower Hutt's many 2nd hand record shops today and found a record iv been looking for a long time (I Just Can't Stop It, The beat) but the big poo is that i left it at my office :-( I was salivating all afternoon thinking about playing it all night. Well never mind ill have to salivate over something else ;o)
I was doing some research on software for Dyslexics today at work and found this video that was on Campbell live just a week or two on Dyslexia and how its a gift!

Todays doodle is of my little friend Sven when we went for a work trip to Great Barrier Island to pick up some art works for an exhibition at a gallery that I worked at the time. Was a fun trip as all the art works didn't fit in the truck and we ended putting one of the creates on the roof!

I found an interesting site which was linked from the BBC last night were you can submit you photo of your face and they age it by 30 years, they havent sent me back my photo yet but Ill post it as soon as i get it back.Would be interesting to see what Ill look like as an old bugger! This is the web site. Todays doodle has nothing to do with being an old bugger but it is a self portrait. Work as usual today and yesterday was spent working in Masterton which made a nice change. Had a good feed at a work mates for tea tonight which was nice.

Todays doodle is of Audrey Hepburn, this was a bit of a major doodle taking me around 90min to do, looking at it now she looks like she's dislocated her shoulder, we hey never mind! Its 6oC out side at the moment and feels the same inside, might have to do some star jumps to keep warm! WOW just looked at the temp out side and it has dropped to 5.8 thats the coldest so far this year brrrrrrrrrrr

Well a cold brisk front has hit the house could see it coming from the south out to sea whilst I was doing today's doodle. Went for a ride in my mates new car out to Eastbourne then we had some eggs Benedict then headed back home to watch motorcycle diaries. not much on tonight, just eating lots of fruit as I bought heaps of banners mandarins and apples mmm and some fruit salad for later!

Sorry for the lack of action over the past few days, haven't had much blog time. Well it was a spectacular fine crispy day in Wellington today. I went in to town to do some window shopping but ended up spending way to much on 2nd hand vinyl at Real Groovy! bumped into friends in town and had a nice hot lemon ginger and honey at midnight espresso. that's about it :-)

Half a dozon eggs for tea

Had way to many eggs for tea so I thought a nice hot bath would go down well, but i think this has cooked the eggs more and now they have stuck to my stomach. Did a little shopping tonight, got some little prezzes for some special people and my self :o)

Well my new plan is to do a sketch a day and post it on this site, hope i can keep to it!, spent the day being lazy trying to wiggle of this stupid cold! listening to the radio then later some cd's, i pod is still out of action but ill deal with that one later! My fellow flaties are back form there snow holiday, so well have a BBQ later. The house feels a little more bizzy now. any way I'm of to snuggle up in my little futon and dream of other places till then.

b) to look around the city library
But noooo my i pod frozze iv tried to reset it several times but it keeps telling me too seek support! so i dont realy fancey doing the 2 hr walk in to town with no tunes, or I could just get the old walkman out again i guess?? well Iv cought a cold of one of my students and spent the day yesterday scoffing Strepsils, it was only after i had consumed half the packett that I read the warning about the Laxative effect on the back, Oh well.

Food Bank

Well my day revolved around food today, I was really naughty and had Bacon and Eggs in a Cafe next to were i am working for the next 2 weeks. its a bit of an old ladies cafe in Newtown but its just so handy! All the locals go there and joke around and hassle the owner who in turn hassles his costumers, all very village like. i got back to the office were there thinking of starting a food bank for me, which is really nice :o)
I had tinned butter chicken and rice for tea, i couldn't believe that you could get a curry in a can with meat for only $2.79, what a bargain! having a lazy night listening to the radio and snoozing, but all alone :-( wish i had a certain some one to huggle up to ;o)

Well had a party in our house last night for Deans 30th, The theme was "The Rat Pack". It all went well, had too much red wine. its a little scary to think that 2 of my friends have turned 30 this year oooo its seems like Im getting old :-( well having a relaxed afternoon tiding up around the place, ready for Top Gear at 7:30, baked beans for tea tonight! might spole my self and have it with toast.

First gig and thired practice

Well our band had its first technical gig last night. It was at our lead guitarist/singers new flat, went pretty good but I was pretty pooped as I DJed after our set, So it was a bit of a marathon, but I was in my little eliminate with all of the music. Going to hopefully have a very productive day catching up on all the things I should of done 3 weeks ago. hope fully without any distractions, mind you I love that distraction ;o)

Happy birthday Gorman for yesterday! We had a little dinner party yesterday to celebrate my flatmates 30th, we all chipped in and got him this cool r2d2 toy it runs of voice commands, the beer holder is by far the best fetcher :-)

Well I made it too Christchurch safely no hick ups apart from loseing my left wing mirroer befor i got to the ferry on Friday mornig. greaymouth waas a hoot I stayed n a backpakers Which was the only splash of couler in the whole town. Aurther s pass was spectakuler as well plenty of photoes whick ill post up when i have time, also sorry about the spelling this computer soent spell cheack :-( any way more info to come

Well just getting the last bits done ready for the trip. not much happen today, Had tea at Candida and CJ's then followed that with Jelly tip ice cream mixed with coke at Kiffs. Today's pic was taken on a work trip to Christchurch in 2004 were i spotted some Nice stencilling on the footpath.

Friday 21 April 00:00 Hop out of bed and I hop on Deaidre and ride her to the ferry terminal.
01:55 My ferry departs Wellington Hopefully buoyant!
04:55 Arrive in Picton, South Island (marked as a big 1 on the map
06:30 look around Nelson till some greasy breakfast places open
09:30ish Depart Nelson and head for the hills towards Greymouth, stoping in randome places for photos
16:00ish Arive in Greymouth (marked as a big 2 on the map) find more food and a bed and sleep

Saturday 22 April 09:30 Leave Greymouth and go up Arthur's pass with Deaidre and over to Christchurch
14:00 Arrive in Christchurch (3 on the map) and spend a few days with friends.

Tuesday 25 April 12:00 Head up the east cost back to Picton stopping at Kaikoura for some Kai
21:00 Hop on the ferry back to Wellywood
01:15 Should be home by this time to get a few hours sleep before work, 6 hours later.

I had a phone call from a gift shop (Natures Discovery) this morning to say that i had won 447 Eggs, I was a little confused at first and then remembered that i bought a nose pencil sharpener for a friend the week before and guessed how many eggs were in the jar! Im getting Deaidre all sparkly for my tour of the south island today. That's it in a nut shell, I'm off to stuff my mouth with eggs

Well iv been a little bizzy over the last day or two, spent the day with kiff and his dad and new mum, we had brunch then looked around Petone then went up to the Carter Observatory to play with laser pens over the city. Later on in the evening I scooted to a friends party which a had a few little surprises then headed home for some sleep. Did a load of washing this morning and some other Sunday chores and that's about it! Having a another jam session with the band later today. That's it in a nut shell.
Today's pisc is a little sketch i did in 99 of a cello player whilst at a concert was a pretty fun place to sketch i took it home and scanned it and played with it in photoshop.
