Why do you call them doodles?

I don't know, a doodle should only take 5 min or less but these are taking an hour or two, what should i call them?? any suggestions ??
Well I doodle them in to my sketch book first then i take a digital picture of them and then play with them in photoshop, thats were the time is spent.

Well I think they are very pleasing - pictures, so why not call them art?
